Italian Agricultural Machinery Exports to the US Surge
Italian agricultural machinery exports to the US have surpassed €320 million in early 2024, showcasing a 7.6% increase from the previous year, as reported by Istat and FederUnacoma.
This growth, according to Krishi Jagran, has positioned the US as Italy’s top market for agricultural machinery, ahead of traditional partners like France and Germany.
The rise in exports reflects a heightened interest in Italian agricultural technologies, driven by a 12.6% increase in demand for equipment and machines, totalling €250 million.
However, the tractor segment saw a slight decrease of 6.7%, reaching €71.2 million. This data highlights the importance of the Italian-American partnership in agricultural mechanics and the appeal of Italian technology’s broad range, innovation, and customization.
The EIMA International exhibition in Bologna, scheduled for November 6-10, 2024, will further spotlight this growth.
The biennial event, known for its extensive showcase of agricultural machinery and technology, is expected to attract numerous North American businesspeople.
The 46th edition will cover 370,000 square meters with 60,000 models across 14 sectors and 5 thematic showcases.
EIMA International has seen increasing US attendance, with numbers rising from 695 in 2016 to 1,260 in 2022. This trend is expected to continue, with the 2024 event anticipated to surpass previous records.
Highlights will include the Technical Innovations contest, dynamic tests of tractors and bioenergy machinery, and a new REAL space dedicated to robotics, drones, and automated systems.
The exhibition will also feature a range of solutions for diverse agricultural needs, from viticulture to irrigation systems, and provide a platform for dialogue among public officials, technicians, and experts through press conferences, conventions, and workshops.
EIMA International promises to reinforce the synergy between Italian agricultural expertise and US agricultural demands, showcasing the latest trends and innovations in the field.
