If yes, you may qualify for the Kansas Career Technical Workforce Grant! Each year, the grant provides up to $1,000 to numerous Kansas citizens enrolling in technical certificate or associate of applied science degree programs in a high-cost, high-demand, and vital industry sector.

Regarding the Kansas Board of Regents
The 32 public higher education institutions in the state (six state universities, one municipal university, nineteen community colleges, and six technical colleges) are coordinated by the nine-member Kansas Board of Regents, which also serves as the governing board for the state’s six universities.
Financial help for students, adult education, high school equivalency, and professional and technical education programs are all managed by the Board.
The Kansas Board of Regents grants permission for private proprietary schools and out-of-state establishments to conduct business in Kansas.
Eligibility Information
This scholarship is open to students who meet the eligibility criteria listed below:
- College Student’s Grade Level
- Academic Interests: Agriculture, Computer Science, Fire Science/Firefighting, HVAC Mechanics, Aviation/Space, Radiology, Animal/Veterinary Sciences, Culinary Arts, Law, Criminal Justice, Healthcare, Dental Health/Services, Nursing, Business, Accounting, Welding
- The candidate must be a resident of Kansas.
- You must be enrolled in or accepted for admission to an eligible CTE program provided by a designated Kansas educational institution. These institutions include technical colleges, community colleges, public four-year colleges that offer associate of applied science degrees, and the Washburn Institute of Technology. Only technical certificate and associate of applied science degree programs are eligible.
- Must have graduated from a Kansas high school certified by the Kansas State Board of Education, acquired a Kansas State High School Diploma via the GED® Test, or completed a Kansas homeschool program or non-accredited private secondary school.
