Our mission

AgriTalker exists to report accurately on the systems that produce food and the climate those systems depend on — and to make that reporting useful to the people inside them, not only to the people who study them.

Our vision

A public conversation about agriculture and climate that is grounded in evidence, that treats farmers as participants rather than subjects, and that is legible to a smallholder and a policymaker alike.

What that means in practice

We cover regenerative and sustainable practice seriously rather than as a novelty. We report policy in terms of what it changes for the people it lands on. We publish data with its source and its limits attached. And we correct openly when we get something wrong.

What we are not

We are not an advocacy organisation and we do not campaign. We report on organisations that do, including ones whose goals we may share, and we hold them to the same standards as everyone else.
