Senator Binos Yaroe, representing Adamawa South, has distributed N6 million and farming inputs to 300 farmers across nine local government areas (LGAs) in his constituency.
This initial phase took place in Mayo-Belwa LGA on Tuesday. The beneficiaries, drawn from nine LGAs, are part of a federal government-approved consistency project aimed at boosting agricultural productivity in the 93 wards of the zone.
Senator Yaroe stated that each farmer received N20,000, fertilizer, and herbicides to enhance their crop production. He announced that the second batch of inputs would be distributed across the nine LGAs in the next two weeks.
“I urge the beneficiaries to use these inputs wisely to ensure a bumper harvest,” Yaroe emphasized.
Yahuza Yakamata, an official from Rockland Synergy Concepts, the contracting company, detailed that the fertilizers provided are NPK 20-10-10 and NPK 20-15-15, along with herbicides.
Mrs. Violet Vendict, a beneficiary from Jada LGA, expressed her gratitude for the support.
“I received N20,000, a bag of fertilizer, and two herbicides. This assistance has come at the perfect time to help me increase my rice and maize production,” she said.
