During their time (5-6 months), the Chair will work on a specific research project associated with CSIRO’s priority areas of research, which will result in continued collaborative ties between Australia and the United States.

The Chair will also be expected to participate in outreach and networking efforts inside CSIRO and beyond the Australian Innovation system by giving periodic guest lectures, seminars, or community interactions. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or another terminal degree and should contact CSIRO for the required letter of invitation.

The Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) was established as a non-profit organization in 1947 to administer the Fulbright Scholar Program.
