Nestled within the serene embrace of a 400-acre woodland park, Alderley Park is gearing up to host an enchanting event for families: Spring Fest. Set to unfold on Saturday, April 27, this day promises a delightful blend of countryside charm and family-friendly activities. A reimagined version of the estate’s beloved ‘Farm Weekend,’ this celebration is not just a joyful occasion but also a poignant marker of the 10th anniversary of Bruntwood SciTech.

The festivities are designed to create an immersive experience for attendees, with a diverse array of activities catering to all age groups. Among the highlights is a live musical performance by the esteemed Cheshire brass band, The Roaming Empire, adding a melodic backdrop to the day. Falconry displays, donkey rides, spring-themed crafts, and an assortment of street food and beverages further contribute to the festive ambience.

Daniel Bourne, the Director of Asset Management at Bruntwood SciTech, shared his excitement about the upcoming event, stating, “We’re delighted to launch Spring Fest this April and can’t wait to bring our most inspiring program yet to the community. Nature is at the heart of what we do at Alderley Park, and we’re delighted to throw open our gates to the community to experience the joy of the park.”

Alderley Park Farm, a central element of the estate, plays a starring role in the festival. Home to 250 ewes producing approximately 400 lambs each year, the farm provides a unique opportunity for visitors to witness the miracle of lambing in the specially designated lambing shed. Additionally, visitors can interact with various other farm animals by taking part in tractor tours that traverse the entire site.

The festival’s offerings extend beyond traditional farm experiences, with a woodland trail treasure hunt providing an engaging challenge for families. For young adventurers, off-road experiences with mini Rovers offer an exciting taste of driving, with a fleet of mini Land Rovers ready to spark their imaginations.

Education takes centre stage through various interactive farming pop-ups, creating an immersive experience that combines fun and learning. Spring Fest, scheduled from 10 am to 4 pm, is more than just a community event; it’s a not-for-profit initiative with tickets priced at £8 per person. A commendable 50p donation from each ticket will contribute to charitable causes, underscoring the event’s commitment to giving back to the community. Children under the age of 3 are welcomed at no cost, ensuring that families can enjoy this vibrant day without financial constraints.
