Overview of the DWF Foundation Grant
The DWF Foundation (commonly known as the Foundation) is an independent charity established by DWF. Its main purpose is to provide cash, resources, and guidance to individuals, groups, and communities so that they can reach their maximum potential.
Since December 2015, the Foundation has been the centre of DWF’s charitable contributions, reflecting the organization’s principles and culture of contributing. As of December 2022, the Foundation had given over £1 million to charitable causes. These grants were made available by DWF fundraising efforts and donations.
DWF covers all operating costs related to the Foundation, ensuring that every penny raised goes to worthy causes.
Today, thanks to the united charitable efforts of DWF and the DWF Foundation, people may believe, inspire, and change.
The DWF Foundation supports registered organizations that make an effect in one or more of the following areas:
- Being homeless
- Wellness and good health
- Finding employment
- The education
- Environment and Sustainability.
These themes also correspond with the DWF’s mission and allow us to collaborate to maximize the help provided to communities.
Grants are awarded to initiatives that promote and improve local communities through:
- Addressing a specific community concern.
- Making volunteer and community organizations more effective and efficient.
- Encouraging persons who are frequently excluded to participate in community life.
- Providing opportunities for young people to develop skills that will benefit the community.
