Growing Our Communities Grant Program Overview
The AgSouth Farm Credit is happy to announce the proposals for the “Growing Our Communities” award, which will support non-profit groups and farmers markets in their activities while also advancing agriculture in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Each year, AgSouth Farm Credit assists non-profit organizations and farmers’ markets to advance agriculture in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
The AgSouth “Growing Our Communities” Grant aims to form strong partnerships and alliances, leveraging grant program resources to maintain and promote farmers, families, and communities.
The Objectives of Growing Our Communities Grant Program
The award has three major objectives:
- Invest in the future of agriculture.
- Improve the quality of life in the AgSouth territory.
- Be acknowledged as a top corporate citizen in the AgSouth region.
Funding Details
- Grants of up to $5,000 per organization will be provided annually.
- Proposals will be examined, and funding will be granted in November-December 2024.
- Beneficiaries may use funds given during the 2025 calendar year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Grants will only be considered for initiatives in the 147 counties and geographical areas where AgSouth Farm Credit has business.
- Funds will be provided only to non-profit organizations and farmers markets, not to individuals or private farms.
