Empowering Innovators for Sustainable Food Systems: Join the FOODITY Programme!

In an era defined by technological advancement, the intersection of innovation and sustenance takes center stage. The FOODITY programme stands as a beacon of opportunity, beckoning visionary thinkers to craft data-driven solutions that not only revolutionize food and nutrition but also empower citizens to make informed, health-conscious choices. This dynamic initiative is poised to inject fresh vitality into the landscape of sustainable food systems. By participating in our Open Call #1, you not only unlock the potential to receive funding of up to €187,500 but also gain access to a comprehensive training and support framework to propel your solution towards fruition.

Program Overview:

FOODITY’s ambitious mission is underpinned by a substantial €1 million pilot development programme, strategically focused on creating six data-driven solutions that will serve as catalysts for innovation in the realm of food and nutrition. Beyond the technological advancements, this initiative bears a profound commitment to reinstating control over personal data usage to the very individuals it concerns most – the citizens.

Phases of Development:

The evolution of the programme unfolds across three distinct phases, each marked by its unique strategic imperative. The initial phase is dedicated to the implementation of pilot projects, an endeavor aimed at breathing life into transformative concepts. Following this, the focus seamlessly shifts towards maximizing the impact of these initiatives, ensuring that they resonate deeply within the fabric of society. The culmination of the programme manifests in an award ceremony, a moment of recognition and validation where the winning pilot projects stand to gain an additional €7,500, propelling them further along their trajectory of positive impact.

Data Management System:

At the heart of FOODITY’s vision lies an unwavering commitment to putting citizens in command of their data. This commitment is epitomized through the creation of a robust and secure data architecture, meticulously designed to safeguard and manage user data. Within this architecture, a dedicated data lake is appointed as the repository, holding all but the personal data which remains under the purview of the respective pilots. This intricate ecosystem is further fortified by the integration of our cutting-edge data_U software, poised to process and manage information with unparalleled efficiency.

A critical facet of this training lies in the methodologies of citizen engagement, ensuring that end-users are not mere spectators but active participants throughout the journey. As the initiative progresses into its second phase, the focus of mentoring subtly shifts towards the realm of business acumen, encompassing everything from innovation strategy to product development. Here, the goal is to empower innovators with the knowledge and insights essential to navigate the dynamic landscape of sustainable food systems.
