Graduate School Scholarship Overview 2024

Are you one of the top 25 All-American participants in the last three National Intercollegiate Dairy Cattle Judging Contests, or a Platinum winner in either of the last three National Dairy Challenge Contests?

Are you currently in your junior or senior year of college? If so, the NDS Kildee Graduate School Scholarship could be a fantastic opportunity for you!

Each year, the scholarship awards $3,000 to up to two (2) college upperclassmen who are (a) one of the top 25 All-American contestants in the previous three National Intercollegiate Dairy Cattle Judging Contests, or (b) a Platinum winner in one of the previous three National Dairy Challenge Contests.

National contest participation, academic standing, leadership skills, student activities, future ambitions, and interest in the dairy business will all be taken into account when selecting recipients.

The National Dairy Shrine brings together dairy farmers, scientists, students, educators, technical consultants, marketers, and others who want to preserve their dairy history and keep the dairy sector thriving.

Founded in 1949 by a small group of visionary dairy professionals, the National Dairy Shrine presently has approximately 20,000 lifetime members representing practically every aspect of the dairy industry.

Eligibility Information

This scholarship is open to students who meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • College upperclassmen by grade level.
  • Citizenship: United States citizens, permanent residents.
  • Academic Interest: Agriculture, Environmental Science, Animal/Veterinary Sciences, Business, and Marketing.
  • Miscellaneous Applicants Must (1) Be (a) One of the Top 25 All-American Contestants in the Previous Three National Intercollegiate Dairy Cattle Judging Contests, or (b) a Platinum Winner in One of the Previous Three National Dairy Challenge Contests, and (2) Be pursuing a dairy-related field.
