The Scope Of Work, Objectives & Deliverables

Interested candidates may apply by addressing one or more of the following:

  • Acceptability: Creating user-centered solutions, such as products, services, or business models, that are tailored to the needs and preferences of customers, hence increasing e-mobility adoption.
  • Affordability: By balancing cost-effectiveness with meaningful value delivery, a broader audience may afford and embrace e-mobility solutions.
  • The selected applicants must submit a research report outlining the methodology used, study findings, an analysis of the financial viability of the tested solution, and key takeaways. Sensitive data and intellectual property rights may be considered during the contractual process.
  • Accessibility: Adapting products, services, or business models to appeal to varied client segments, allowing a larger and more inclusive audience to reap the benefits of e-mobility.
  • Siemens Stiftung is looking for forward-thinking businesses that are creating bespoke solutions for Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, and Tanzania’s burgeoning e-mobility sector. We are funding experimental initiatives to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, low-carbon transportation sector. These projects can be spearheaded by a single company or a group of companies that want to help improve the acceptance, accessibility, and affordability of electric transportation. They may also come from the energy sector (e.g., smart grid technologies; energy storage), the e-waste and recycling sector (e.g., electronic or battery waste; second life or recycling of electronics or batteries), or the technology sector (e.g., integration of e-mobility-related IoT applications).
